Salta Adventure Trip Package

Day 1: Arrival in Salta

When arriving at the Salta airport or bus terminal, you will be received and transferred to your hotel located in the city center.

The rest iof the day will be free to enjoy it as you wish.

Day 2: Safari at La Nubes, Salta

Thanks to the vehicules technical conditions, the Nubes Safari offers a unique possibility de combine three unrealistic landscapes of the Argentinian Northwest and a unforgettable day.

From Salta, going through the Lerma Valley, you will go on to the Quijano Camp where you will be told the train's history, admiring the first machine which performed the trip. The journey continues to Quebrada del Toro, always parallel to the rails, and you will stop at the Toro River Viaduct, which you will climb, going around 40 meters up.

Then, the journey continue, going through other bridges and viaducts ( the train crosses 29 bridges 21 tunels, 13 viaducts, 2 curls and 2 zigzags. The Movitrack panoramical view lets you see the huge Railway engineering work and its bridges and tunels.

Then, you will stop in a big cardones zone, hundreds of years old species and around 10 mtrs high.

The trackrails start forming a winding way, going up the hill.

As it continues to rise up, crossing small villages such as Santo Rosa de Tastil, Las Cuevas, and then arriving in San Antonio de los Cobres, the most important city within the Quebrada.

Then, it goes on until the famous Polvorilla viaduct. Highlight and most known of the point of the high points by which the Tren de la nubies transit.

During the way back, you will visit the Santa Rosa de tastil village to eat and rest, to then, with regained energies, visitar the arqueological museum and have a walk by the ruins belonging to the Atacama culture during the prehispanic time.

At least, you will arrive to Cuesta de Lipá, a 2000 meters decrease and 35 kms and the transition from the desertic puna grassland to the fertile valleys, more humide, to then get to the picturesaue village if Purmamarca, located at the bottom of the famous Cerro de los Siete Colores.

The return to the city will be around 7 pm.

Day 3: Rafting and zip-line in the Juramento River

The excursion starts in Salta, from where you will take the transfer to go to the Salta rafting base.

The rafting starts at the base with an instructive and safety rafting class. Equipements are delivered and the descent starts by the rapids of the Juramento River.

There are 10 Class III rapids ajd tye Class II rapids, framed by the imposing landscape of the Juramento River's Canyon. The Juramento Canyon os is like a huge open hack within mountains. Its walls were, 65 millions of years ago, gigantesc beaches occupied by prehistoric animals.

The descent starts at the base and ends 12 kms later, in the Paraje Los Lapachos. The return to the base by ground takes about 20 minutes.

The difficulty of the rafting is intermediate, taking about 2 hours time.

Once back at the base, we will enjoy an exquisit asado, made of various selections of meet and roasted offal. We will have time to rest and gain energies to continue with the adventure during the afternoon.

The zip line circuits start with an introductive talk about the activity and the correct utilisation of the equipment to be able to enjoy these instructive experience, feeling safe and at ease. We will leave the base with 2 trained guides until the mount from where a 15 to 20 minutes going up trek starts to the 1st platform.

There, starts the course by the steel cables, the first one is to try technics and gain confidence. The highest cable is 200 meters high above the river's level, and the largest is 600 meters, allowing us to travel 35 km/hour with an incredible flying sensation. The last cable takes us back to the base.

The circuit last 1h30.

You will go back to Salta from the base by vehicule.

Day 4: Mountain bike by the Yungas Mountain' forest.

After having breakfast in your hotel, you will be collected by your guide at 9 am. The meaning of this tour is to travel West of the Lerma Valley within a short ride. After getting the bikles ready and attending the safety instructions, you will tart riding omn rural trails, entering the Quebrada, full of vegetacions and water courses.

The fun of the activity is to cross rivers and the various natural obstacles by bike and feel the true essence of bike mountain without being professional. We will come upon corners where you will be able to enjoy the rivers, falls and observe the fauna and flora.

The course goes over the forest vegetation which surrounds the San Lorenzo location, in which one of the most conserved biomes of the Argentinan northwest is conserved, called Yungas our Mountain Forest.

After almost 3 hours of activity, we will go back to Salta by bus, arriving at about 2 pm

Day 5: Transfer to the Airport in Salta.

During the morning, you will check out from your hotel and have free time until the vehicle picks you up to take to the airport or Salta terminal.
