Bike Tour On Ice In Ushuaia

We start our excursion leaving from our departure point. We head 16 km outside the city, traveling through the unique landscape offered by National Route Nº3.

We will arrive at the winter center, Valle de Lobos, where our excursion will take place. This winter center is so named because its owner raced in a sled pulled by dogs in the famous Iditarod race in Alaska, and returned to the country with wolves to cross them with his dogs and improve the breeds.

A journey of approximately 4 km is made in search of a range of 4 beaver farms, some old and inactive and others in current operation, being able to observe the incredible work of these animals with their dams or dams, and their work in the Fuegian forests. It is worth mentioning that this species is not original from Tierra del Fuego, but was introduced in 1946.

This route is done on bicycles with spikes on the wheels or walking with crampons, as there are incredible accumulations of ice at sea level, being able to ride on the frozen water without risk
