Itinerary
Discover a unique place where the panoramic views and snowy landscapes appear to have been taken from a storybook. In Challhuaco Valley, just 40 minutes from downtown Bariloche, lies the Neumeyer Refuge, a small and cozy base for a mountain hike.
This simple two and a half hour hike to Laguna Congelada is suitable for all ages. Accompanied by a mountain guide, you’ll hike through a beautiful and snowy beech forest, before reaching a magical frozen pond. Along the way there will be stops to rest, listen to the guide, take pictures and play in the snow. Upon returning to Neumeyer Refuge, a delicious bowl of homemade food will await you to help recharge your batteries and warm you up. After eating, there will be time to share experiences and to go sledding along a small track located next to the refuge.
