Many people don’t realise that you can go rafting in Salta. However, 100kms from the capital, through the Cabra Corral Dam, a rafting adventure awaits you! The tour begins at Salta Rafting's base with an instructional course on rafting and safety. The guide will give you the equipment to begin the descent down the rapids of Río Juramento. The canyon of Río Juramento is like a giant open pit in the mountains. Sixty-five million years ago, its walls were vast beaches inhabited by prehistoric animals. The descent begins at the base and ends 12kms away at Paraje Los Lapachos. The return to the land base lasts approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a delicious Asado.
